Uw tour begint met een prachtige rit langs de schilderachtige kustweg die een prachtig uitzicht biedt op de Saronische Golf. Op weg naar de beroemde Kaap Sounion passeert u enkele van de mooiste buitenwijken van Athene (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza).

De Kaapse Tempel van Poseidon ligt op een rotsachtige heuveltop met uitzicht op de zee. Geniet van het prachtige uitzicht over de Egeïsche Zee. Het wordt beschouwd als een van de meest adembenemende panoramische uitzichten ter wereld en strekt zich uit tot aan Kea en de Peloponnesos.

De Tempel van Poseidon werd gebouwd in 44 voor Christus en veel van de originele Dorische zuilen staan nog steeds overeind. Op een van de zuilen staat een graffiti die begin 19e eeuw door niemand minder dan Lord Byron is achtergelaten. Er valt nog veel meer te zeggen over deze pittoreske plek, maar het is beter om het één keer te zien dan het honderd keer te horen.
