Wil je een vleugje geschiedenis toevoegen aan je strandvakantie op Mallorca? Bezoek dan het kartuizerklooster van Valldemossa. Dit 14e-eeuwse klooster was in eerste instantie het paleis van de koningen van Mallorca. Maar in de 15e eeuw werd het omgebouwd tot de gebedsplaats zoals we die nu kennen. Je hebt toegang tot bijna het hele terrein, met onder andere een kerk, een bibliotheek en goed onderhouden tuinen. Onze tip: vanaf de buitenste binnenplaatsen heb je het beste uitzicht op het omringende landschap. Het klooster heeft ook een eigen museum, waar je meer te weten komt over het verleden van Mallorca en alle beroemde historische personages die hier ooit door de gangen wandelden.

“No contact made to say that our pick up was delayed, I actually thought we had missed it and had to contact the tour group. First lady I spoke to said she would call me back but didn't, after a while I called again and was then told bus was delayed”
“The guide and driver were very unhelpful mum uses a mobility walker and no help was given The last drop off point was a very long walk from the town down a cobblestone street we were not warned about this and guide went on ahead and left us to struggle down it If you have mobility issues this is not to be recommended There should be a note of this at booking”
“Got picked up in one coach only to be driven to a place where we changed to a different bus, and then had to catch the original bus back to the hotel from Valdermossa. 1 hour for the historic house was far too long and the supposed wonderful gardens were a joke. Overall not a great experience.”
“The 3 places visited were beautiful. However the pick up took over an hour on top of the journey to Valldemossa. Total journey was 2.5 hours. Information from the guide was limited on the way and non existent on the way back unfortunately which was a shame as we could have heard all about the beautiful island.”
